Testing & Iterating
This project was completed as part of the Peak XD UX Accelerator Course. All work completed was done by me, with feedback from the course facilitators. The client, RSL Art Union, approached Peak XD to refine the overall user experience of their website; improve the way they cause is communicated; to convert single ticket buyers into VIP members, and to increase overall revenue. I conducted a number of in-person and remote interviews – the resulting data was analysed and synthesised into personas, user stories and journey maps.
An online card sorting activity was conducted to update the information architecture ready for testing. I analysed the user flow to find the points where it works against business objectives, and redesigned it to be more streamlined. I also conducted an expert analysis of the existing website via cognitive walkthrough and heuristic evaluation. This yielded a number of high-level issues, as well as opportunities for small fixes for some quick wins. I provided specific, actionable recommendations to rectify all issues.
The re-design of the homepage started with a low-fidelity wireframe, which was presented as part of a co-design workshop, and then refined and iterated. I tested a high-fidelity wireframe with remote users, as well as the IA created earlier in the project. The collated findings informed another iteration of the IA, as well as a finalised design for the homepage for final client presentation.
