Christmas is my favourite holiday of the year – time to relax, and spend with family and friends, laughing, eating and drinking. In the lead-up to Christmas I spend a substantial amount of time in the kitchen baking traditional German Christmas cookies, known where I’m from as “Platzerl” or “Plätzchen” if you’re speaking High German. I wanted to create a series of photos that showed the process and finished product of some of my Oma’s favourite recipes.
